la grenouille

A couple of months ago Vanity Fair ran an article on La Grenouille...a famed French restaurant in NYC. I had never heard of it when I lived there, but have now put it on my 'must visit' list for the next trip. Apparently the flowers are breathtaking...proven by the pictures in the article and on their website. For the full VF article and slideshow click here

For a mere $250 a person, you can have a dinner party at La Grenouille. I would imagine it's much more reasonable to just have dinner for two on a special evening.

A thank you to the MSW blog for reminding me of the Tinsel Trading Company. All of the MS stylists and crafts people are regulars at the store. It's a wonderland of ribbons, trim and every embellishment imaginable! It's best if you know what you're looking for...otherwise you can find yourself wandering in a stupor just trying to take it all in (kind of like I feel in IKEA). While I prefer to visit the store in person, I was thrilled to see that they now have a much more user-friendly website

birds + branches

I loved birds way before they were 'trendy' and I have a feeling I will continue to love them when they are out of fashion as well. Birds will always remind me of my dear grandmother, who knew the name of every bird imaginable. That's why I'm loving all of the great bird + branch combos I've seen pop up.
