I'm usually in love with anything miniature, and Krispy Kreme's mini doughnuts are no exception. I'm trying to think of a creative way to use these...they might end up at my son's next birthday, given that I will have no time to bake (a 4-week old will be in tow) and most bakeries are closed (Thanksgiving weekend). Towers of mini's? Yum.

Thanks to the divine Miss M. for making sure I saw this one...I was just thinking about NieNie the other day! For those of you who don't know- NieNie was in a terrible plane accident with her husband last year, suffered horrible burns, and is still in the process of recovery. A mother to four children, she's got quite a full plate. But her house is full of love- you can tell that from all of her entries, and she's got a five-star husband that supports her in every way. So she has lots to celebrate, and did so on her 28th birthday. I pulled a couple of favorites from the celebration, but there are many more right here. Her 'story' is addictive, and I recommend you tune in if you are ever feeling down. This woman is an inspiration- and in this case, so is her birthday party!
