I've been in love with Maryam's 'My Marakesh' blog for some time now. Her intimate writing style makes me feel as though I am a part of her daily life, yet there is no mistaking she lives in a land much more exotic then my home turf. Just check out her daughter Skylar's 8th birthday! Berber tents, moroccan carpets and engraved silver trays were set out for the celebration. "My daughter is turning 9. She has decided she does not like pink and we've already done most of the cute theme parties. The best I could come up with for her was an "old fashioned party" with games and cupcakes. Any direction you could give me would be great. I at least pinned her down to blue, green and yellow.
